As part of the FIATA World Congress 2026, taking place in Milan from 6 to 9 October, ALSEA will present the study “Global Freight Flows, Multimodal Capacity and Gateway Competitiveness in Lombardy”, conducted by FIT Consulting Srl.
The study analyses the Lombardy logistics system within the context of global freight flows, focusing on multimodal infrastructure and capacity and identifying the key factors contributing to Lombardy’s competitiveness as an international logistics gateway.
The research outlines three development scenarios for the regional logistics system, ranging from the enhancement of existing infrastructure and resources to greater integration and interconnection between infrastructure, services, data and logistics operators.
The study will be presented on Thursday, 8 October 2026 at 3:00 p.m., at the Business Circle of the FIATA World Congress in Milan.
The event will provide an opportunity to explore the development prospects of Lombardy’s logistics system and the potential pathways for strengthening the region’s role in national and international freight flows.
